LYTE is the first step to unleashing your creativity!

Join us at Theatre LYTE for an entertaining summer

LYTE at the Palace is designed to introduce young people to the  magic of theatre, offering them a chance to expand their creativity while building performance and production skills in a real hands-on environment. We work on drama, music, line memorization, props and costume design.  This program allows you to explore the world of performance and theatre, get involved in a live performance and show off your talents to friends and family on the main stage.

Break out of your rut, build your confidence and get involved in an experience that will change your life. LYTE  gives students the opportunity to expand their imagination and find the creativity within!  The summer LYTE program is offered in three sessions to youth aged seven to sixteen.  At the end of each two week session, students will present their plays (written by by local playwrights) on
the Palace Theatre’s main stage. These public performances will be open for all to attend.

Acceptance into the LYTE program is not guaranteed.  You must “audition” for acceptance by presenting a short reading and an interview with LYTE’s Director and program staff.  Registration Fee: $75.00 all applications to register must be in by June 1, 2011

To Register send e-mail to info@theatrelyte.com Or

PLAYWRIGHTS WANTED

Are you looking for a great opportunity to see your work come to life on stage?

What if you could introduce young people to the magic of theatre at the same time?

London Youth Theatre Education is looking for playwrights to contribute original scripts for this summer’s LYTE camp.  3 plays will be selected as the learning repertoire which will then be presented by our LYTE students for friends, family and the public on the main stage of the Palace Theatre in July and August 2011.  Click here to download information.
